Mark H Bailey, Director, President and CEO
Mr. Bailey has served as Director, President and CEO of Minefinders since 1995. During this time he has successfully led Minefinders from an early stage exploration company to a precious metals producer. He is based in Washington, USA.
Mr. Bailey has over 30 years experience in the mining industry working in exploration, development and management across North and South America and internationally.
Mr. Bailey also serves as a Director of Dynasty Metals and Mining Inc., Entrée Gold Inc., and Northern Lion Gold Corp.
He is a registered professional geologist in Washington and has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in geology from Oregon State University and the University of Washington respectively.
Mr. Bailey has professional affiliations with the Society of Economic Geologists, Geological Society of America, Northwest Mining Association, B.C. Chamber of Mines and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
Robert Leclerc, Q.C., Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Leclerc has served as non-executive Chairman for Minefinders since 2004 and has been a director of the Company since 1997. He is based in Nevada, USA.
Mr. Leclerc was previously Chairman and CEO of Echo Bay Mines Ltd, a precious metals producer and before that Chairman and CEO of the law firm Milner Fenerty (now part of Fraser Milner Casgrain). He has practiced law in both Montreal and Edmonton and presently acts as a business consultant.
James M. Dawson, P.Eng., Director
Mr. Dawson has served as a Director of Minefinders since 1996.
Mr. Dawson has also served as President of Dawson Geological Services Ltd since 1985. He has been involved in the exploration and evaluation of mineral properties worldwide, with a particular emphasis on Latin America. He is based in British Columbia.
As a partner with Kerr, Dawson & Associates Ltd. from 1972 -1985, Mr. Dawson participated in the discovery of the Blackdome Mine, Frasergold and Taurus Properties in British Columbia and the Big Horn Mine in Arizona.
Mr. Dawson is a registered professional engineer with 40 years of hands-on fieldwork experience examining, exploring and evaluating a wide range of geological and mineralized settings around the globe.
H. Leo King, P.Geo., Director
Mr. King has served as a Director of Minefinders since 1995.
Mr. King is President and a Director of International Barytex Resources, Ltd., a Canadian mineral exploration company, and has over 40 years experience in mineral exploration and mining geology. He is based in British Columbia.
Mr. King has managed exploration and development projects in Canada as well as internationally and has valuable experience in mineral prospect evaluation and property acquisition.
He also serves as a director of Grid Capital Corp., Kobex Resources Ltd, and Pacific Imperial Mines Inc.
Mr. King holds a Masters degree in Geology from the University of Saskatchewan and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and a member of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Tony Luteijn, B.Sc.; M. Eng., Director
Mr. Luteijn has served as a Director of Minefinders since 2004.
Mr. Luteijn is President and a Director of A Luteijin Mining Consulting Services. He has over 40 years experience in the evaluation, engineering, construction, start-up and operation of mines.
Earlier in his career Mr. Luteijn was Vice President, Project Development and Operations for both Canico Resource Corp. and Sutton Resources Ltd., as well as the Manager of Evaluations for Placer Dome
Mr. Luteijn holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Utrecht, Netherlands and a Master of Science in Mining from the University of British Columbia.
