Mark H Bailey, Director, President and CEO
Mr. Bailey has served as Director, President and CEO of Minefinders since 1995. During this time he has successfully led Minefinders from an early stage exploration company to a precious metals producer. He is based in Washington, USA.
Mr. Bailey has over 30 years experience in the mining industry working in exploration, development and management across North and South America and internationally.
Mr. Bailey also serves as a Director of Dynasty Metals and Mining Inc., Entrée Gold Inc., and Northern Lion Gold Corp.
He is a registered professional geologist in Washington and has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in geology from Oregon State University and the University of Washington respectively.
Mr. Bailey has professional affiliations with the Society of Economic Geologists, Geological Society of America, Northwest Mining Association, B.C. Chamber of Mines and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
Tench C. Page M.Sc., Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Page has overseen exploration at Minefinders since 1995. During this period, he has led the development of the Dolores Mine through the feasibility stages and into production. He has also been directly involved in the gold and silver discoveries and development at the Company’s La Bolsa and Planchas de Plata projects. He is based in Reno, Nevada.
Mr. Page has over 30 years of exploration and development experience in the mining industry and has served as the senior geologist or exploration manager with several successful startup companies and major production companies.
Mr. Page has a Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science in Geology from the Mackay School of Mines (University of Nevada at Reno) and the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill respectively. He is professionally affiliated with the Society of Economic Geologists, The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, and The Geological Society of Nevada.
Greg Smith, CA, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Smith was appointed CFO in November 2006.
Previously, Mr. Smith worked at Goldcorp Inc. where he oversaw the design and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance programs and, prior to that, he spent over five years in the mining group at KPMG LLP in Vancouver.
Mr. Smith is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and holds a B.Comm in International Business from the University of Victoria.
