Consideration is also being given to the construction of a mill at the Dolores mine site which will improve recovery of high-grade ore and reduce production costs. Mill recovery rates are expected to be 90% for gold and 80-90% for silver, compared to 72% and 51%, respectively for heap leaching.

Minefinders has commissioned a detailed feasibility study on a proposed mill for the Dolores mine and will make a decision towards the end of the year on the size, type and construction schedule for the mill. The Company is evaluating the most appropriate and cost effective option that will enable us to process high-grade ore in the open pit and provide the infrastructure necessary to develop a new underground mine at Dolores if warranted.

Minefinders has an exploration program underway at the Dolores Mine. Our $3.5 million exploration program at Dolores for 2011 involves 20,000 metres of drilling which is aimed to explore for further mineralization peripheral to the current open-pit.

16. What's the status of activity on the La Bolsa project?
Minefinders' La Bolsa project in Sonora, Mexico is an attractive asset that could potentially produce more than 227,000 ounces of gold and 315,000 ounces of silver over a six-year mine life. The La Bolsa project has several favourable attributes including a low waste-to-ore ratio; it is well suited to heap-leach processing and in close proximity to infrastructure. The Company recently completed a pre-feasibility study of the economic viability of a mine at La Bolsa and is now considering options to realize value from the property.

17. What activities are underway at the La Virginia property?
La Virginia, a 32,000 hectare property in the same vicinity as our other operations, is an extremely promising gold/silver deposit, which until 2010 had never been drilled before. Minefinders is now drilling over a 7 km area and expects to drill approximately 12,500 metres this year which will give us a much better understanding of the potential deposit.
