Robert Leclerc, Q.C., Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Leclerc has served as non-executive Chairman for Minefinders since 2004 and has been a director of the Company since 1997. Mr. Leclerc was previously Chairman and CEO of Echo Bay Mines Ltd, a precious metals producer and prior to that he was Chairman and CEO of the law firm Milner Fenerty (now part of Fraser Milner Casgrain). He has practiced law in both Montreal and Edmonton and presently acts as a business consultant
Mark H. Bailey, M.Sc. (Geo), President and Chief Executive Officer, Director Mr. Bailey has served as President and CEO of Minefinders since 1995 and has successfully led Minefinders from early stage exploration to gold and silver production. He has over 30 years experience in the mining industry having worked in the areas of exploration, development and management throughout the Americas as well as internationally. A registered professional geologist in Washington, USA, Mr Bailey has a Master of Science in Geology from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Society of Economic Geologists, Geological Society of America, Northwest Mining Association, B.C. Chamber of Mines and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. In addition to being a director of Minefinders Corporation Ltd., Mr. Bailey also serves as a Director of Dynasty Metals and Mining Inc., Entrée Gold Inc., and Northern Lion Gold Corp.
H. Leo King, P.Geo., Director Mr. King is the President and a Director of International Barytex Resources, Ltd., a Canadian mineral exploration company, and has over 40 years experience in mineral exploration and mining geology. During his career, Mr. King has managed exploration and development projects in Canada as well as internationally and has valuable experience in mineral prospect evaluation and property acquisition. He has served as a Director of Minefinders since 1995 and also serves as a director of Grid Capital Corp., Kobex Resources Ltd, and Pacific Imperial Mines Inc.
James M. Dawson, P.Eng., Director As President of Dawson Geological Services Ltd since 1985, Mr Dawson has been involved in the exploration and evaluation of mineral properties worldwide, with a particular emphasis on Latin America. As a partner with Kerr, Dawson & Associates Ltd. from 1972 to 1985, Mr. Dawson participated in the discovery of the Blackdome Mine, Frasergold and Taurus Properties in British Columbia and the Big Horn Mine in Arizona. Mr. Dawson has served as a Director of Minefinders since 1996 and is a registered professional engineer with 40 years of hands-on fieldwork experience examining, exploring and evaluating a wide range of geological and mineralized settings around the globe.
W. Robert Gilroy, Director Mr. Gilroy joined the board of directors of Minefinders in September 2010. He has more than 40 years experience in many areas of the mining industry in Canada and internationally. He has participated in the development and operation of mines in climates ranging from high Arctic to mountainous tropical. Prior to his retirement from a full-time career in 2008 he was Vice President, Operations of Nuna Logistics from 2003 to 2008. Mr Gilroy has also previously held senior positions with North American Tungsten Corporation Ltd., Wheaton River Minerals Ltd., Kit Resources Ltd., and Echo Bay Mines Ltd. He currently acts as a consultant in the mining industry.
